And, as we saw upon our first inspection of the ships, there is an amazing bonus venue. With a little imagination, we convert the main dining room (The Cosmopolitan Restaurant) into a performance venue most afternoons and a gorgeous jazz cabaret every evening. Kevin has written scores for both TV movies and full-length independent feature films and he’s appeared on various TV shows from Hollywood Squares to Celebrity Family Feud (with his sister and two brothers!). He has taught at the Louis Armstrong Jazz Camp, the Banff School and Rutgers University, as well as hosting master classes at many colleges and universities. In addition to concert touring, Kevin has begun presenting at conferences around the country not only as a musician but also as a motivational speaker to people of all ages.

There will be two sailings, the first will be January 20 – 27, 2023, and the second sailing will be January 27 – February 3, 2023. Jeff is also the co-leader of the Clayton/Hamilton Jazz Orchestra (the Grammy® -nominated big band that provides backup for Diana Krall). The Jeff Hamilton Trio featuring Tamir Hendelman and John Hamar, has been a pillar of The Jazz Cruise for nearly two decades.
This year we are expanding our musical offerings to reflect more of our cruise programs and music. When in port, lectures and other events are planned for the early part of the day and the music typically starts around 4 pm. Daytime music shows may be presented in any of the music venues (Celebrity Theatre, Rendezvous Lounge or Sky Lounge). Special shows may also be seen and heard in The Cosmopolitan Restaurant, the main dining room of the ship, which converts brilliantly into a cabaret-style music venue. Some of the most revered shows on the cruise (The Jazz Cruise T-Shirt Party, Wycliffe Gordon’s Gospel Show and Keyboard Capers) are performed during the daytime hours.
His mother, Vera Eubanks, was Kenny Barron’s first piano teacher. Duane crossed over to play and record with Alicia Keys, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Wu-Tang Clan, and Kirk Franklin. He has played the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center, as well as toured throughout Europe, Japan, and the Middle East. On two nights of the Cruise (the 1st Night and Formal Night), special shows (“The Jazz Cruise Welcome Show” and “The Jazz Cruise Hall of Fame Show”) are presented in the Celebrity Theatre.
